Punching above their weight
At a cost approaching £300,000 DKM has added to their CNC Punching arsenal. Already equipped with the EMK3610; the largest of the Amada Turret presses on the market and lights-out automation DKM have invested in punch technology to enhance the service it offers to their customers.
Steve Hearn commented ‘We are finding that although new technological developments are being introduced with our CNC laser business, the punch is still by far the most cost-effective method to produce sheet metal parts. We are fortunate we have loyal, very skilled CNC punch operators who have been with us for many years. We also have a strong training program to develop new punching skills. Through years of continuous investment into new innovative tools, we have a large collection of tooling which allows us to incorporate secondary operations in one which results in DKM offering a more competitive package than most suppliers in the South West.’
