600K Investment adds to DKM’s Portfolio
Part of DKM’s core strategy is to re-invest company earnings every year to ensure that no key piece of machinery is more than four years old.
In 2020/21, at a cost of nearly £600,000 DKM have invested into the latest Amada Ventis fibre laser technology with MP-F offline automation. This investment makes a clear statement to new and existing customers than when required DKM will make the necessary changes to support and develop with their customers.
Steve Hearn the MD for DKM commented: ‘In a challenging year for the whole country, DKM have gone from strength to strength. Following the acquisition of five new key customers as well as the growth plans for 2021 from existing customers; DKM already have a strong order book for Q1 and parts of Q2 next year. We pride ourselves on having the most technological and most advance pieces of machinery on the market and we want to maintain our reputation as one of the best sheet metal companies in the South West. To enable this DKM have invested in this new cell with a delivery in January 2021. The machine itself benefits from the latest Ventis oscillating cutting technology which will enhance the quality we provide to our customers. It will also allow us to run up to 50 hours per week unmanned production which we already successfully achieve across our punch processes. This will enviably result in more competitive lead times augmenting the service DKM offer its customers.
